Hey Friend, I'm Dr. LaNée!

An entrepreneur, business coach, strategist, author, and speaker.

I'm dedicated to arming black entrepreneurs with the strategies and guidance they need to operate profitably, effectively shortening their path to economic success.

Over the past decade, I've been called a mogul, a social media superstar, a crowdfunding campaign strategist, and a success catalyst. I've achieved some remarkable feats in business over the years. For example, with a well-planned strategy I successfully raised more than $10,000 in crowdfunding within 30 days to launch my first business, CulSire. This online hub celebrated African-American culture and exchange, attracting over three million page views from visitors across 214 countries in less than seven months. Followed by building an amazing following of over 75,000 on my personal and business social media platforms. And that's not all—I also founded The Mogul Institute, an incredible learning initiative that empowered hundreds of black founders to reach the top of their game. It's safe to say I have some serious superpowers when it comes to strategizing for business growth.

However, during my Ph.D. journey, I made a bold move. I decided to close down CulSire and The Mogul Institute to embark on my third venture—Upscale Noire. This is where the magic happened. Upscale Noire is the ultimate lifestyle, education, and empowerment movement for black people all around the globe. It's all about creating a space where black entrepreneurs can thrive, compete, and lead at a whole new level.

At Upscale Noire, I foster safe spaces for black entrepreneurs to thrive. One of these spaces is The Diamond Coaching Collective. Using my 4C Diamond Method, we break stereotypes by helping black business owners gain Clarity, Confidence, Clients, and Coins. It's a winning formula that has led to incredible success stories.

I want to ensure that black-owned businesses not only survive but also thrive in the business world. Together, we'll conquer challenges, leverage strategic thinking, and make remarkable strides toward economic success.

Now, here's a little secret before I go any further...

Unlike Beyoncé, I did not wake up like this!

My journey has been anything but easy. From flunking out of high school to being a stripper, a single mom, a cancer survivor, and finally a college graduate (twice, actually—I even got an MBA), it's been a wild ride. And let me tell you, every step of the way, I battled self-doubt, fear, and low self-esteem. This superstar status didn't come overnight, my friend.

But you know what? Those struggles have made me who I am today. They helped me press toward the mark for the prize.

Now, I bet you're curious about how I reached this level of success in my life and business, right? Well, let me break it down for you:

Back in the late '90s, I left my job as a stripper and made my way back home to sunny California. By 2000, I became a proud momma to my amazing son. And guess what? In 2001, I wrote my first business plan—although I didn't even realize it at the time! It was more like a manifesto of how I wanted t to create a better life for my son and me. I kept updating that document every year for a whole decade!

Fast forward to 2011, I earned my bachelor's degree. Two years later, in 2013, I received my master's degree (with honors I might add) and said goodbye to my executive assistant job at a billion-dollar aerospace company. In 2014, I used that 10-year-old manifesto to finally bring to life, and I launched the Mogulvation brand two years later. Let me give you the highlights of the years that followed:

2016 was a big year for me—I signed my first major client, made my debut in a documentary (lights, camera, action!), and kicked off my second business, The Mogul Institute.

The following year, in 2017, I hosted my very first three-day retreat at the fancy JW Marriott in Scottsdale, AZ. Talk about taking things to the next level!

And then, 2018 came with even more exciting moments. I became a published author—yup, you can find my name on those bookshelves. I also held my second three-day retreat (because once wasn't enough!), and guess what? I started my Ph.D. program. Talk about juggling it all!

Fast forward to 2019, and I launched my third business, Upscale Noire, LLC. It was a major milestone, and I hit six figures! Cha-ching!

Now, here's the plot twist—2020 turned out to be my best year yet, and all of this happened right smack in the middle of a pandemic. I collaborated with big names like NASCAR, PayPal, Tito's Vodka, and even the Phoenix Suns. It was a year of triumph against all odds.

In 2021, the Phoenix Suns recognized my achievements and honored me with the prestigious Golden Standard Award. Plus, I made my second appearance in a documentary—lights, camera, round two!

And now, in 2023, I'm celebrating a whole decade as a full-time entrepreneur and fulfilling the dreams of that 12-year-old girl who wanted to become a doctor. I achieved my Ph.D. in Performance Psychology with flying colors from Grand Canyon University—Magna Cum Laude, baby!

But let's talk receipts, shall we? I've graced 45 speaking stages, hosted 20 unforgettable events, appeared on 17 awesome podcasts, and have been featured in eight amazing articles. Oh, and did I mention I've received three major awards? Not too shabby, huh? On top of that, I've had the incredible opportunity to teach and guide over 1,000 entrepreneurs. It's been a rewarding journey, to say the least.

I do it because I love it...

I Believe In Your Success!

Today, my mission is to motivate and empower black entrepreneurs, business coaches, authors, and small business owners who all share the same dream—to package and share their expertise and brilliance with the world as an entrepreneur so they can embrace the freedom, income, and lifestyle they've always desired.

But here's a fun fact: before I could empower others, I had to empower myself. I was my toughest client, no doubt about it. I used to run my business, or rather, let it run me. I had big dreams but wasn't taking action to make them a reality. I would talk and plan, but not execute. And let's not forget about the time I wasted on people who weren't worth it.

But you know what? I learned some valuable lessons along the way. It's not enough to talk about our plans and dreams—we have to take dedicated action to bring them to life.

That's why I developed the 4C Diamond Method™. It's not just a fancy concept—I've lived and breathed it. I've used it on myself and my clients, and the success stories are mind-blowing. The method revolves around gaining Clarity on your goals, boosting your Confidence in your product and pricing, so you attract the right Clients and make those Coins flow.

"Tell me what you want to do, and I'll tell you how to do it."
